Welcome to the Advanced Placement Program at Hylton High School! This school year we are offering 26 courses at the AP level and 15 courses at advanced or pre-AP levels. We welcome all students who accept the challenge of taking a college level course at high school and being part of the AP program at Hylton.

AP Awards Ceremony and Breakfast
AP Scholars in 2017 will be recognized at a special celebration breakfast on Wednesday, December 20, 2016 at 7:45 AM in the enclosed cafeteria. Please see the invitation here and RSVP by December 12 to Mrs. Baker at bakerm@pwcs.edu. Parents and 2017 AP Scholars, including our graduate scholars of 2017, will be invited to attend. 2018 AP Exam Ordering Information
Students will be receiving an AP bulletin and test registration form in one of their AP classes in January. Please review the bulletin with your child and sign and return the test registration form as soon as possible, before March 1. Please contact Mrs. Baker if you notice a conflict in the testing schedule or if you would like to take an AP exam and are not registered in the corresponding class this year. Pre-AP Test Administration
Pre-AP test administration will be conducted in the auditorium through AP classes throughout the day. The dates for 2018 are April 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th with a make-up day scheduled for April 23rd.
Registration for AP Courses in 2018-2019
There will be an AP Enrollment letter to be completed by all students requesting to take an AP Course when they meet with their counselors this February . The letter must be signed by students and returned to the counselors as soon as possible. If students wish to take more than three AP courses in 2017-18, they must meet with Mrs. Baker for approval. Students wishing to take four or more AP courses must also have a parent signature. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Baker if you have any questions about registering for an AP course next year!
